How to edit Message Editor Interface options?
Ive been sent here by Mr. Jake Bunce from the vBulletin Team.
How do I change / add some additional options to the Editor (WYSIWYG + the regular one)? Where are those settings stored at? Thank you! Unfortunatelly bbcodes wont do the trick in my case. What I need is a button that would (when clicked) insert certain text. In my case something like this: Code:
category1: category2: category3: What I need this for is: In some parts of forum people (among other things) have to rate posts (lyrics, art etc) based on different categories. By breaking votes down into categories, we get more accurate votes. And instead of them having to think of all the categories and writing them down each time they vote, Id rather give them an option to click a button and have those categories pasted in the text box so all they have to do is fill them out based on how they wanna rate it. Thread from vbulletin.com - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...028#post683028 Can somebody please help me with this? Thanks! |

Maybe you need to code a little javascript for that.
Take a look to the smilies code, I think that code does what you need: When a smilie is clicked, some text is inserted on the message text box. |
