External registration and login to VB3

Hi there,

We're coding an external utility which works with PHP and MYSQL and we need to integrate it with Vbulletin...

We succeeded with Vb2.3.x but with Vb3.x it won't work...

The idea is to ask a user for a registration for our utility and with all this data, add it to the VB3 database, which means the user will enter its login information only once in our system and with it, it will have access to Vbulletin features as well...

Any1 tried this before? I guess so, but VB3 is so new that we need help!

I have the same Problem but i choose a quite different Way to fix it.

I use Java (jsp) for the Page (Status: in Development) and want a single Site Login.

So i decided to user the vBulletin Data to login. Additional to this information i use another Table with may own data.

The mapping of this data will be the uid. So every User have two ID?s. The uid from the vbulletin and the eid for my own data.

So if a user is logged in to vBulletin i can get his access to the other content for the Page, too.

The only Problem for me is to set the right Cookie. I dont know which data i included in the Cookie (i analysed one but there a many Data i dont know).

Currently i am waiting for the response of the Support Staff (vbulletin-Germany).

I'd like to hear alternatives, if any. Just to have several options. I don't believe we're the only ones trying to do this
