Auto-Banner: Proxies Beta 1

Description: Automatically IP Ban Proxies to avoid users using proxies trying to bypass an ip ban. Aside from that it also prevents many unwanted users from registering in fear that their "unprotected" IP addresses might expose them(^_^ usually you want to avoid that bunch of users because their usually trouble makers).. As an extra there is a option in the Admin Panel to disable or enable the banner as you wish.
Limitations: Alas there is a limitation to the autobanner because of its design, it only checks for enviromental settings which is still very effective since most proxies still post enviromental settings in the http headers, but there will be those few who will get by, I cant do much about that since the other method of proxy detection is actually port scanning which is extremely effective but slow and uses much needed resources and may block legit users behind firewalls.
Requirements:
  1. Php -> Whatever vB 2.2.8 - 2.3.3's are
  2. vBulletin -> it should work in nearly 2.2.x and up version but I have not checked vB earlier than 2.2.8
  3. Mind -> Believe it or not you need one, but dont worry the requirements arent much I've test it on a mind with 73 IQ and it works great ^_^.
Support and Questions: Just Post in this thread and i should reply within the day, but if you want you can contact me by my email [CVMagic at cheatandwin dot com]

Heh, thanks... that was something i made a few days back because my forums were having one of those annoying member issues, and no matter how many times we banned his ip he'd get a new proxy, so at least with this now it would block off most of the common proxies out there especially the ones that a program called Multiproxy uses...

Hi...But this will auto ban A LOT of people. Just think AOL who also uses many proxies. Maybe I do not quite understand. But sounds useful.

@David Bott
I havent checked AOL, but i'd think they'd be wise enough to have their proxy servers to be absolutely anonymous because its common now adays to detect and block proxies in websites so they would pass by w/o any problems, but if the above is worng and their not protecting their users then post it here and ill look into it. By the way as of yesterday afternoon i've trying to think of a new method thats not enviromental settings blocking, i think i can do something with the session cookies.

Doesn't seem to work. I have a known proxy user at my boards and he's still there...beginning to lose hope...

okay, go to one of his posts and do a simple port scan to see if its actually a proxy or hes just claiming to be one... oh and yes like i said not all proxies are blockable because of the nature of them, they dont follow a set standard.
