Dont waste your time on the default style...check out

Cyctest....this is used by most members

and take a look at

Darkbeat's 2nd....this cool style was created by one of our great members.

Colors are horrible: impossible to read at parts, stock vB purple/yellow in others. Also the header image is monstrous.

I tried the one you suggested.

FWIW you should make whichever style you think is the best as the default, because guests may be more enticed to register if the site looks clean.

Still stock buttons in use...... makes it not the good looking with purple buttons. I suggest searching around www.vbulletintemplates.com

And trying a hand at making your own buttons maybe.

The header image goes with the topic of the board. I tried to install a rotating banner hack but the hacker released one with so many bugs it was impossible to make it work. The yellow and purple on the cyctest style were left on purpose because they go with the black and blue scheme. Theres no yellow on the darkbeat 2nd. As for buttons, I didnt give them much thought because on average buttons arent used that much in these forums. The person will navigate through links. More emphasis was put on integrating user friendly hacks like the style change, the store and arcade. Thanks for the comment on the buttons though and I can see your point....looks like Ill have to warm up the Gimp.

Why have you guys not used Dark's X Box style?

I have seen a few vB Xbox styles and by far his is the best I have seen.

I took a look at your most popular used style.

Still alot of purple in use, doesn't match with your scheme. Use something else besides purple. Also, don't like the table colors being the same color as the background. Makes anything else thats not the same color as the background look weird.

Dark lost the Xbox style he created when MB3 went down for good....since then he's decided he didnt want to recreate it
