Offering paid POP e-mail

Hi!

I'm starting a vB board, and one of the best ways to (possibly) get the costs covered would - it seems to me - be offering POP e-mail accounts @mydomain.com to members.

I do have a reseller account which enables me to set up "unlimited" accounts; however I'm not too sure about the feasibility of using Cpanel for this purpose since it could comprise the registration and maintenance of several 100's of accounts.

The best solution would obviously include an automated sign-up script, although I'm not too sure of the payment issues here - credit card would do fine for some customers, but not all. And at the same time, some sort of prepayment to avoid spammers would be desired.

I suppose I could use a simple sign-up form to start with (given the service doesn't become a huge success from day one ) and set up the accounts manually - but there's still the matter of maintaining them...

Any suggestions?
