Does you're forum compete, or even wage a WAR of words and hate towards another board?

No of any forums that engage in such mud slinging battles? I can name a few that do.

5 years ago i was a member of a dbz board that was one of the more well-known sites back then, there was a blooooody war with the most known dbz site/board, in the end..both sites droped their forums.

Hmm yeah, i was on one D2 board which was on war with the greatest D2 board in germany (we were number 2).
But it wasn't a real war, just sometimes it escalated, but the advantage was that i knew the admin of the other board very well and has had a good relationship with him. (the intresting thing was the leadership of our site and the other site didn't have such a good relationship *gg*)

We have some ex-admins that continue to steal ideas from our board and they haven't been associated with us for over a year. What I don't understand, is if they don't like us so much, and our board sucks (as they continually tell people), why do they continue to snoop our forums and steal ideas? Logo is close, colors are similar, and EVERYTIME we install a hack, it magically appears on their board a few days/weeks later. Now they're stealing ideas for sig banners we give members. Run your board the way YOU think it should look and stay the hell away from ours.

Forum invasions? My forums used to have problems like that a lot of times from other forums, frequented by adolescents with too much time on their hands.... I do no tolerate it. I would pursue the matter with the forum admins, forum host, ISP, and if that doesn't work I have gone to the local police and FBI (I have actually done this to shut a site down).

I have many other competitors but from what my members tell me, the two things that make them love WDF (yes, some of the members are really addicted from the start, it's scary) is the style set and that they get their questions answered better there than anywhere else (or at all). I've had a member donate to WDF saying that he would have lost his job if it hadn't been for the help he got there (not all from me).

I never directly attack other boards either, I try to keep a professional community

Same here, if anyone from a rival board trys to start tourble they are banned, no questions asked. IMO a board/site sould not be about beating the other guy with a site simlar to yours, its about doing things your own way and keeping the people that visit happy.

(unless making them happy means adding querys that use 60 seconds of processing time, I dont think thats ganna happen :knockedout: )

yeah our boards hate some boards from around the net, won't name em but it's basically down to their immature members
