Thank the inventor of external hardrives
Yes it happened to me today... i thought i was safe but then comes the message that you've lost your hardrive and all it's contents..
Luckily i'd made a backup the night before on my external hardrive - miSt |

80 GB Firewire... that's nice...
I just bought an external CD-RW myself, for backup purposes... works well... |

Yeah I have a removable 8.6GB that I have in a PIII E 800Mhz workstation I threw together for my buddy to work on and the hard drive isn't detected sometimes. weird. Looks like I'll have to replace it with an extra 30GB.
My main box has 2 60GB drives with a DVD+RW & CD-RW i am gonna convert the DVD+RW drive to external so I can use it on my laptop. |

8.6 GB - is that all
I'm looking at a 120 GB one now - 60GB isn't enough - miSt |
