Importing from Custom Forum
I run a site that has its own registration, login, and forum etc for members. I have to keep this current info (22,000+ members) Keeping in mind that I am fairly skilled with PHP and MySQL (i built all the scripts, setup and run the databases for my site etc), I have a question before purchasing a license:
How easy would it be to build a php script to convert all current members into vbulletin members? Would it be easy going forward to have members sign in with my current form and pass over into the vbulletin tables on the database any needed information to register them with Vbulletin at the same? Would I be able to maintain my current method of logging in members and having them be able to access vbulletin forum with logging in again (for example setting a cookie vbulletin would recognize or however vbulletin logs in members)? Basically I'm looking for anybodys input that knows these answers/or has dealt with importing a custom config w/ vbulletin. Thanks for any help to these questions. |

the gloabl answer is yes
It is possible, and with some php-and-mysql skills it wouldn't be hard to do for you |
