IP logging hack
As of now, the only way IP's are logged it seems is if someone makes a post. While this is useful, it really doesnt help me all that much. I need to see all the IP's that view as well and log each different IP a user views the site with individually and permanently.
Also, I need to be able to see this log when using the [View IPs for username] link in the admin CP. Also, is there a way to make the list that the [View IPs for username] link creates, list IPs that are shared between different userIDs in another color? Dunno if that would be possible or not but it would be cool as hell if it could. Some people have 20 or 30 IPs, if the ones that are shared by someone else showed up in red or something to warn of another user having the same IP... that would be cool. This hack comes very close to what I need but it has no searching options at all and it also deletes the logs (it has to to prevent it from getting so huge) after 3 days. Great hack but no resources to use it. |

Umm, I guess this can be done, I have released 2 IP Logging hacks here. One that log the ip that you try to locate. The other one logs all ips that go to the admin/ while you lock it.
My way, logs each time a page is accesed, the logs go inside a document on your webserver. Reply back if your still interested Regards -Arunan |

Hey NTLDR, if you want, check out my Restrict Admin CP with ip logg hack, and copy the code from fopen(); to fclose(); or something similar, but if you are willing to wait I can do that

this is exactly what i'm looking for. is there some easy way to modify that code so that it will log every event instead of just admin cp ones? i can even live with just going into the database to look at it and not having a nice gui...
thanks in advance... ~jeff |

If you would have a very popular board, the file would jsut get bigger and bigger, and well it will just be a waste of space.

i'm aware of that... i would probably clean it out on a semi-daily basis. my board is not that popular, and it would help greatly with security. even if they were automatically deleted after 5 or 6 days that would be fantastic...
