Constructive criticism, please

Not so much concerned with color/style, but function. The forums have only been up just under a month.

Please consider more than just the forums itself. There is the chatroom, the picture gallery and the auction - which I wish could be integrated, but did my best to achieve a similar but different look.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Hacks you might recommend that I've overlooked would also be good. Other add-ons that I'm unaware of will be helpful too.

change the theme, Im kind of sick of vbulletin purple style...

There are 7 different themes to choose from. That one is the default. Besides, as I said, I'm not interested in themes/styles so much as actual content. Pretty buttons and different colors don't keep people coming back, it just shows the VB admin community you've done something different.

My interest is in the folks who come not knowing or even caring what the default theme is, but want functionality: chat rooms (they aren't even aware that they're really IRC channels), topic forums, picture galleries, even the web auctions.

So, no offense, but if your comments are about colors, you aren't giving me much back in response.

For the images in the forum titles (I'm assuming you just did <img src... in the Forum Title field) set them to this instead:

<img src="..." width="..." height="..." align="absmiddle" hspace="5">

That way, the images will be aligned center to the text and be spaced farther away from the text.

Actually, it was a template, so implementing your suggestion was much easier. Any other suggestions, folks?

Also, can y'all recommend anyone for graphics design? When V3 becomes available, I want to unveil a new, sharp look. I'm great at programming, but no ability in graphic design. I'd like someone who can develop the whole package: logo, buttons, background, new style, etc.
