Your top hacks for a front page?

Alright gang,

I'm looking to draw info from my forums onto my front page.

I can think of the Last 10 threads hack but...

What others would you suggest I use, what do you find useful?

My portal has last 10 threads, top 10 posters, shoutbox, user cp / login box, latest poll and news (all hand made of course).

I don't use a portal program. If Jelsoft comes up with a content management program, I'll probably use that to create most of the static pages on the site.

Indeed it does, which is what PJ v3 uses

It's always cool to display what users are currently online on your forum home page. I actually do this in my header so it shows up on every page in my site. Use FireFly's header online hack, which you can find viewing his profile.
