LOL, never thought it would happen? Well I am well on my way, infact creating some of the code for my own site. I will probably start creating some hacks around here, considering before I knew nothing about php

No I can't be mocked about my un-cool knowledge of php
W00t, me goes to code now.

I recommend reading about the PEAR Coding Standards. It really helps when people follow the coding standard... makes it easier to read each others code.

BTW, PEAR says you should use <?php instead of just <?

Some servers may not be configured to work with short open tags.

I think the hardest thing when running a copy of vB is to learn php for vBulletin - it uses a lot of functions for grabbing the data which aren't documented on the php or mySQL site - obviously. For the newbie this all seems very strange!

Once a basic understanding of these query functions, while and for statements and how variables are passed between forms - it seems to be a hell of a lot easier. Then people can start making adjustments and small hacks. I think its great

I'm at this first now, modified the source of my forums and released a mini hack. If I can do it, anyone can with a bit of time and patience.

Good work.

LONG LIVE THE PEAR!!

It really makes a difference when your swaping source with others. Having a standard that everyone can code by really helps. (hint, hint)

However, I already know Delphi and am ok in Visual Basic. This gave me a great footing in learning Php and I find it easy....
