By default, sticky topics are displayed in 'last post' order. Is it possible to have them displayed in 'first post' order - ie I would like the oldest sticky topics displayed first.
I know that forumdisplay.php needs to be changed, but not sure what needs to be changed. Have tried changing 'lastpost' to 'dateline' in the 'sticky control' section - but this makes no difference. Any ideas? |

I'll try re-phrasing.
I don't just want to change the display order of threads in the forum. What I want to do is display 'sticky' threads in 'original date posted' order, BUT leave all non-sticky threads in 'last post' order ie - forum will act as a normal 'last post' at the top, but sticky topics will be displayed in the order that they were created. Can't do this via CP, have changed forumdisplay.php to use 'dateline' I/O 'lastpost' when SELECTing from db - but being fairly new to php/mySQL am having little success. Can this be done? |
