Channel reserved to members of a group
Hi,
Since it seems i won't any answer form the Vbulletin forum, i try it here... I am trying to setup a channel so only members of a specific group can view and create topics and post replies. It should be pretty straightforward but for some reasons all new posts and topics are "unapproved" until amoderator approve them. I don't see why when i look at my settings. You can see the whole settings on my topic on the vbulletin forum : https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...o-a-user-group thanks in advance, Best regards. |

There are two types of permissions the usergroup permissions and the channel permissions. Please check your channel permissions for the usergroup "pros" if the permission "follow user moderation rules" set to yes.

I think you meant 'follow channel moderation rules" but it was sete up to yes.
Anyway i ended up reversing the way i was doing it : At first i clicked "deny all" and tried to give access to my "pros" group. Now i reseted the settings and set "Can View Topic Content" to "no" on all other groups than "pros". This way it seems to be working, the only issue i have left is that my reguler users have an erro rmessage saying that they cannot access this page when they try to go in the channel and i would rather they see an empty channel with just the notice. This is what they saw before and it was better than an error message. |
