Default How to force new register user to post in specific forum first

Hi

What is the way to force new register member to post in specific (like introduction memebr forum) first then they allowed to post somewhere else in other forums

Also is there any way that during registeration auto thread post in one forum according to details mentioned during registration

Regards

You could use "Promotions" (under the "Usergroups" menu group) for that purpose. The strategy would be to have new registrants added to a group whose forum permissions only allow them to post in one particular forum, then once they make that first post, they are automatically promoted to another group (via your defined promotion) that has permission to post elsewhere as well.

As far as I know, you would have to custom code the auto-thread feature on registration.

If you make the forum in which you want the new user to post the only one visible, then...

Install a Mod that allow a member to create a new thread when they have 5 ot x posts

On new member introduction forum you can open for posting without requesting x posts

You can create any notifications to make them know about this or if you use a default forum style, they can know which forum is opening or closing for posting.

For me, I open forums on my forum for posting without forcing my members post into a forum that I wanted, a forum is a community and it should be public and feel free to post if they want.

You could set up a notice in the "Notices Manager" that shows up only to users who have not posted yet.
