vBulletin Blog upgrade
We just upgraded our forum from vBulletin 4.2.3 Beta 3 to vBulletin 4.2.3 Patch Level 2. All went fine, but vBulletin Blog presented an issue, and we had to remove the XML includes, complete the upgrade, and re-upload the file. The Blog section looks fine, and as far as I can tell, works as it should. The only thing is that the version number for vBullet Blog doesn't reflect the upgrade; it still reports Version 4.2.3 Beta 3.
What should we look for to ensure that vBulletin Blog was actually upgraded? |

What do you mean the blog reports the old version. Where?
Go into the maintenance section in the admincp and under diagnostics use the check suspect files tool. |

Make sure you did use the Suite package and not the forum only package when upgrading.

Yeah, I'm thinking that might be the case, as after the upgrade, vBulletin CMS is no longer a part of our Forum, and we are fully licensed. The plugin information for vBulletin CMS shows it's been un-enabled and still at version 4.2.3 Beta 3. I've inquired of our host if he might have only downloaded the Forum package and not the Suite package.

As mentioned in your other thread...where exactly is your host downloading vBulletin from?
It MUST be downloaded from your OWN members area. If you have a suite license, then you won't get the option for a forum-only copy of the software. If your host has downloaded vBulletin from ANY other place other than YOUR members area, then it's an illegal copy of the software and you risk a takedown notice going to the hosts. |

I had to enable vBulletin Blog after the upgrade and it (Blog) seems to work just fine, but it's version still reflects 4.2.3 Beta 3. So I'm confused. I've emailed our Host to confirm which software he downloaded and installed. |

You have to download (not your host) the vBulletin files from your own vBulletin account. Those should be used to upgrade your forums.

By 'our Host', I mean the owner of our Forum, not our hosting service provider.

This is basically a duplicate problem, closing this in favour of the other thread.
