Purpose:
This product is designed to allow your users to easily display usernames with their currently chosen HTML markup in posts, private messages, visitor messages and group messages. Upon installation, a new BBCode is created, and a button added to your editor toolbar, which generates [UNM][/UNM] tags, short for UserName Markup.
Then by placing a valid username of a member of your forum within these tags, their name will display using the currently chosen display group of that user. You are given the option for the marked up usernames to link to profiles.
Update: version 1.1
Support for signatures added (includes edit previewing).
Update: version 1.2
Added setting option for marked up usernames to link to profiles.
Update: version 1.2.1
Bug fixed regarding mix of valid and invalid usernames in the same content.
Compatibility:
Tested and working on VB 4.2.x and should work on all 4.x versions of vBulletin.

This product alters your database, however it is always good practice to keep regular backups and you should backup before installing ANY new mod.

But I have just faced a bug. When it is installed the "View forum post" of memberaction_dropdown in showthread.php does not work properly.
But once I uninstalled it completely, it works.
This product should have no bearing on the memberaction_dropdown, as it has no plugins hooked there. What exactly is the difference in the dropdown menu when it is installed vs. when it is not?
There is nothing different in the string or url for the search but the difference come in the search result.
If you search view forum posts, you get result with older posts only and no new post shown. But if you search Find latest posts from the user profile, it gives everything.

I know strange things can happen, but I am at a loss as to how this product could affect the search result in such a manner. I don't get this behavior with any of the sites on which I have installed it either. What version of vBulletin are you running?
