Default vBulletin 4.1.11 Picture Formatting

Guys, as the header says, I am looking to find out how to incorporate the "Auto Sizing Feature" in vBulletin 4.1.11 or to inquire if there is one ? Or is there an update or patch or module that needs to be purchased, uploaded and implemented so that people can add a photo from a location be it a Smart Phone, etc so that you don't have to spend all the time formatting the picture to get it to meet the site size requirements.

Any help would be greatly appreciate everybody.

Ceece

I'm not familiar with 4.1.11, but have you tried using the Attachment Manager to set a max width and height for each image extension? I think the images get resized to fit that.

Yes Sir, the attachment manager is in operation, it is currently set at 1200x1200 for a forums picture attachments. Like in Facebook you can upload a picture (no matter the resolution/size) and it is uploaded and re-sized when it is set into the Que, then you hit "post" and it posts them all uniform. My issue is when you upload a picture say, 2500x3400 it attemps to upload it, then you get an error message that it it too large. What I want it to do is that when you upload it, the software would re-size it and place and format it to the size that would be appropriate for the forums, hence when I click post it would allow it to be placed in the forums post.:erm:

Pardon my improper use of terms or lingo in the forums community here.

I'm not too familiar with 4.1 either, but maybe the error is referring to filesize more so than pixel size. Is there a filesize limit imposed under Usergroups > Attachment Permissions?

In Settings > Options > Message Attachment Options, do you have "resize images" set to Yes?

Maybe that wasn't in 4.1.11. If I get a chance I'll check. You could try showing all options then use the browser "find" (or whatever your browser has for searching the page) and see if you find it that way.
