Update User Titles and Ranks

If you search, this has been asked for many times. Both on vb.com and .org

I need a scheduled task to Update User Titles and Ranks

When a paid member's subscription ends, they don't go back fully to being the old rank. The Username HTML Markup, for example, doesn't change. This is only fixed if I update user titles and ranks.

Help?

*I don't have a 3.x board handy or even installed on localhost and just realized this was posted in 3.x forums however this should work fine on 3.x, its untested though so if anything run a quick backup before trying it out.

Edit: After re-reading your initial post I'm going to whip up another version of this as well, perhaps use the same way of updating ALL user titles and ranks (if need be) just like they do when you run the update user titles and ranks (it uses this method though versus a straight query https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/...er_programming ) from the admincp but bear with me busy today, Monday's ACK!

Not from me, not yet been on two large modifications today and one simply BROKE my train of though, derailed it honestly LOL.

Will be similar when done to what Kevin posted in this thread - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=299670 look at Kevin's post #4, will need to be something along those lines using data manager instead of a query in the basic mod I whipped up previoiusly.

Dang, would be nice if we remembered to remind you about other scheduled tasks .

The scheduled task "User Promotions" should take care of this for you see attached, its set to run hourly.

it does, but its incomplete. It doesn't update the html markup for the promotion group when they return to the original group

I just installed Paul M's Move inactive users to new usergroup and realized the user titles failed to update this morning. In reading further, I was somewhat surprised to learn that the Update User Titles and Ranks function cannot simply be set as a cron job. Oh well,

So now I'm hoping the Update Usergroup titles Daily from Cron mod will be validated for use with vB3.8.
