Not able to add Favicon
Hey guys, so I'm having an issue adding a favicon to my forum. I added the favicon as favicon.ico to my forum directory, and changed the link to it in the admin panel as well. For some reason the VB favicon still shows though... And I can see the new favicon on http://mistviper.com/forum/favicon.ico
I think it may be because the previous favicon is still in the forum directory? If so how could I authenticate this and remove it? Do you guys think something else is wrong? Edit: if you add the www. to the url you will see the favicon that I put in, but if the www. is not there it is still the favicon for VB... I'm confused. |

It takes time for your brownser to update before you see the new one. I can see it ok on your site

It's because it's cached.

Yrp, the new one is showing up for me. Do as Dave suggested, or perhaps restart your pc, sometimes browsers really hate giving up the stored favicon.

Def your cache. Another thing you can do to force the refresh is change the location and then re-link it via stylevars.

Clear your browser cache then refresh the page. If your site is on Cloudflare, then you will have to purge the cache in cloudflare too.
