With this mod, you can have a minimum character count of 200 in the first post, and the replies can be 4 characters. Q. What if a user edits their first post, and the character count is below the minimum I set? A. They will not be allowed to save the edits, till they get above the minimum character count. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like this mod please hit the button to the right ----> Please remember to click the, button to the right if you installed the mod ----> What does 'Marking As Installed' do ? * It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available. * For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention. * Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications. thank you very much for this mod ozzy47, it's gonna make a huge improvement for us, we needed it badly
if you ever make newer versions - it would be amazing if it also counted the current length of post. where it says you need to reach the minimum of 200 characters - many people have no idea how much text is it visually, how far are they from the limit, do they need another word or another paragraph. if it said how many characters they got so far - it would help them figure out how far are they from the goal. that's small though, main thing is that this works perfectly and i'm hugely grateful to you! |

oh we just discovered a bug
when you make a post thats a response to an existing thread, not the first one - its fine with less than 200 characters. but if you try to edit it what you just posted - the edit screen doesnt let you submit unless you reach the 200 characters limit. so you're forced to do 200 characters in the middle of a thread too this way. hate asking, but could you fix it? |

I will look into it in as soon as I get a chance and see what the issue is.

Gonna take me awhile to figure this one out. For now you can go to ACP --> Plugins & Products --> Plugin Manager and find the plugin Minimum Characters In First Post ( Editing Post ) under the group [OzzModz] Minimum Characters In First Post and disable it.
