Fixing MySql Plugin Table? ? vb 4.2.2
Hi folks, we had a corrupted upload in March and have been struggling with a site for a while. We have reloaded all the latest vB files and everything appears to check out in diagnostics, but we are witnessing this odd behavior:
When we add any new Plugin, the menu for it in ADMIN does not show up on the left side of the admin area. So for example, if we add a tag program, tag or like should show up under a Tag menu in admin. However, new programs are not showing up and they are not activating in the forums. They ARE visible in the admin area under Manage Plugins, e.g., but and we can Enable them, but they don't work. Is there a way to look for errors, fix, reload, or clean the plugin table in the db to get it functioning again? TIA, Jeff |

Hmm the menu does not show up you say? Do you upload files to the includes/xml/* folder? Maybe the permissions aren't set up correctly. It's recommended to set the permission of all folders and files to 644, unless told otherwise.

Maybe you're aware of this, but not every mod you install adds a menu on the left in the admincp. Some add a section to the settings page, or even add settings to an existing section.

If there is a menu with the modification, then you would need to upload a file provided in the modification to your site. Menus aren't added via the plugins.
