Usergroup Title

Folks, I went to the Usergroups title and edited the usergroups i wanted for example the member one, Deleted the description part and updated counter. But its still showing http://prntscr.com/3u9jyg what else can be done to remove that?

Some even say http://prntscr.com/3u9k5y

or new member... I want to change that since i have user ranks and it look awful

find in postbit_legacy template:

and remove it.

Quick question.. that also removes the option of having a description set in the usergroups option? I want to be able to add a description to the usergroup through that option if said usergroup doesnt have a user rank. I see the solution you gave me up there deletes that too.

ahh, sorry, you dont like the word member, you dont want to remove the word member you want to edit it?

No, for example before I deleted the line if I for example in the usergroup members put a title like Member Of Vbulletin, that would show below the users username. If i take it out, it says MEMBER below the users picture. When i took out the line you told me, no matter if i put a title in a usergroup it wont show.

I have a usergroup of active memers that I dont have a user ran for, and I want the title of it to be shown, right now its just blank, nobody knows what usergroup those users are. example http://prntscr.com/3vvfrm says nothing despite me adding a title in the usergroup area.

just to confirm. are you saying, both user title and the rank image is missing?

the line above was for only user title, not rank image.

if you want user title back, re-add that line of code again.

does this happen to plain members only? like if you edit Usergroup: User Title. to Registered Users only user-group, the title still says "member" in your post bit?

EDIT: have you tried removing all titles from Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager?
then adding usergroup title. rebuild, that should work.

if I take ALL user titles away, if i leave them blank then the users that dont have user ranks would display a ( member, senior member ) below the postbit picture... If i add a user title to lets say active members the tiltle will appear above the postbit avatar. but when I removed that line you gave me... it doesnt show below, but neither does it show if i add a user title under usergroups.

what i did was removed all titles from Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager.
then i went to usergroups and added title. and it worked.

as long as you add this line back to postbit_legacy template.

find:

$post[musername]
				</if></div></div>

and under that: add this line back:

<if condition="$post['usertitle']"><div class="smallfont">$post[usertitle]</div></if>

the only other thing i tested along with doing the above. i went into a Registered User in admincp, edited and changed Custom User Title in drop down to "yes user set". and hit save
the titles actually appeared after that.

i added 2 screenshots. one with a usergroup title added. and one with usergroup title removed.

Look at an example.. I took away the user title from member usergroup bcause i have user rank. http://prntscr.com/3vwis2 but since i took it off now it shows member... I just want it to show the title for 1 usergroup i have no user rank for which is the active members group.

what i said in my last post, it worked mate. you can see in screenshot i added for normal registered users. i have user ranks and titles to. it worked for me.

so removing all titles from Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager. then adding in usergroup active members a new title.
then find 1 active user member, edit them in admincp and change Custom User Title in drop down to "yes user set".

thats all i did and for some reason it worked.

EDIT: This works. I tested on my test forum and it worked fine. thats 2 forums i tested on.
All i did was delete all the user titles from "Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager." NOT user ranks. "User Title Manager.".
I then went to Registered User Groups and added a title.
then went to Maintenance>>Update Counters>>"Update User Titles and Ranks".
thats it, and worked mate for what you want.

as long as you remove all titles, "Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager." delete. it should work.
