Custom home Page in VB5.1.1.
Hello Fellows i wonder whether should i go with VB5 or VB4? this is simply because i am newbie in VB world.
i tried a little bit both versions i liked the layout options of VB4 its more flexible in layouts Case but i like the ease of VB5 like for example there is this concept of grids in VB4 which is absent in VB5, but there is this kool "Edit site" option in VB5 which is not present in VB4.can please someone help me in figuring out whether i am able to do things like grids in VB5 or i should Go on with VB4 and use the difficult to use interface? i went through the posts where a custom page is made in VB4.as a reference the following link. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228112 Thank You Kind Regards |

Well worked with vb4 a prety large forum and a vb5 forum in startup fase.
What my experience is the the community for vb4 is way lager then for vb5 I think that almost everything done in vb4 can be done in vb5. I think vb5 is a bit slower in loading a site. I don't know what to recomend if you demand a lot of third party mods then go for vb4 else go for vb5 The edit page in vb5 is nice, the rest i don't use it realy. Forum (channel) creating i do it by admin pannel. |
