Generate a mailing of daily posts to members list.

Can this be done or has it been done as I can't find it in a search. Here is what I am wanting to do.

1. Automatically generate a Mailing of the daily POSTS and have them sent to the members list without having to do it manually. Would be great if there is a mod for that already with say setting the time of day to send it out, just headlines, read more link, ETC.

2. Have that mailing auto post to a specified forum when it is sent out in a new thread so people could come and view what they had missed. Yea I know they could just hit the new posts or view the activity stream, but we all know that people are lazy and like me brain dead.

I guess what I am asking is perhaps to integrate stand alone Newsletter software that could be a plug in maybe? I have a stand alone program but its time consuming to take all of that, format it, and send it out.

Does something like that exist.... and can it be done???

No, it does not exist (afaik), and it's not trivial to do. That's why dedicated mailing scripts exist. You could try on paid requests, if you are willing to spend the necessary buck.
