They usually are done, but the Admins here are also Admins on other sites and I guess they have very busy lives. Give it a few days and I am sure someone will be in touch.

I made the same request but also have not heard anything. Not exactly top priority so I suppose they will get to it when they can.

Nah Gary only Administrators can do username changes, if you sent the pm to Paul M please bear with him he's trying to enjoy what's left of his vacation and that man certainly deserves one if anyone does

and I'm sure he'll change your name promptly upon return!
