Sort forums & subforums display order alphabetically
Would it be possible to create a mod that would set the display/sort order for all forums and sub-forums alphabetically by Forum Title.
On sites with a large numbers of forums and/or sub-forums it really is a pain to add new forum/subforum and then manually have to renumber all the forums that alphabetically come after it. Seems like is should be possible. |

This may do what you want, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=255876
But to be honest, what I do is when setting up the forums, do not number them 1,2,3,4,5,6 but number them 10,20,30,40,50,60 So If I need to insert one in the middle, I then make it 31. |

Yeah, unfortunately that mod won't do what I need. Looks like I'll just have to renumber manually and like you suggested will space them better this time around.
The one thing that has always been an issue and as I just started to do the renumbering has popped up again ...when saving a new display order and refreshing the forum manager the new numbering does not show right away (it still shows the old number). I've tried to turn off caching while doing it and that didn't seem to have any effect. Is there anyway to force the new display order to show right away? |

Not sure, I have never ran across that issue before, perhaps it is your browser doing it?
