About Mathjax
I'd like to ask where I have to insert the code described in this page
http://docs.mathjax.org/en/latest/platforms/index.html in order to write LaTex in our vbulletin 4 forum. the guidelines are "Most web-based content-management systems include a theme or template layer that determines how the pages look, and that loads information common to all pages. Such theme files provide one popular way to include MathJax in your web templates in the absence of MathJax-specific plugins for the system you are using. To take advantage of this approach, you will need access to your theme files..." Where can I find this vbulletin file in order to paste the MathJax code? Thanks |

You can add it to your headinclude template, by editing the template or by creating a plugin that adds it to $template_hook['headinclude_javascript'].

Thank you very much for the response. Since I'm new in vbulletin where can I find headinclude template in order to insert this code. I'd like please to tell me the exact path via ftp in order to download , add the code and then upload it back to the server.
PS. I use the default template of vbulletin4.2.1 Thanks again!! |

Its not a file.
AdminCP --> Style Manager --> Select "Edit Templates", from the drop down menu & click Go. |

Not all scripts "automagically" run after pasting in code in fact some software require plugins/extensions to be made - check this plugin page out:
http://www.mathjax.org/community/mat...ugins-scripts/ ^ You can clearly see that those were developed for a reason i.e. the software they wanted MathJax to work in simply would not cooperate like basic websites and requires a custom script to integrate and make MathJax work properly. This mod will work fine: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=230589 So long as you have compiled MathJax properly onto the server. If its not compiled properly then it will seem as if the modification will not work, once compiled correctly everything should work fine and after reviewing the modifications code and interface it seems as if they have thought out possible security issues and addressed with a blacklist in the settings as well. |
