Out of Beta, site still crawls
Does anyone know how to speed up a site? 5.0.0 is still deathly slow and I would love nothing more than to move one of my communities over to it.

Plenty of Red Bull, trust me
I have since noticed that this is an overwhelmingly common complaint with the release. I hope it's something that will get addressed in a future update. |

We are using vb5.0 with xcache for php and memory caching and we find it really fast.. we also have gzip compression turned on and our server is tweaked quite a bit. But speed can be found; just have to work at it.

What's the URL? I've actually been wanting to check out some active/live vB5 sites and see how they look/work in real world use.

That looks good... how did you do your members list

It is a custom page. We used the header/footer trick that is posted here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=289333
and then wrote our own code to make the list.. very easy, just database calls. |

I did find on the opening page, an untidy overlap between the 2 sections. Other than that, a fine job. I am using I.E 10 on win 7. |
