hiding forums from view?
How do I hide forums from the main index but show them when someone clicks a tab for them.
Effectively I want to reproduce what you do here at VB.org where you click mods and thats all you see, you click styles and thats all you see, is this possible for a normal working forums or is it some sort of plugin being used? As when I try to hide from view I cannot access the forums from any link. Any advice would be greatly received. --------------- Added [DATE]1351622547[/DATE] at [TIME]1351622547[/TIME] --------------- Damn figured it out instantly. |

When you have a category make the forum not active unless you know the link, then link to the main subsection and all forums within that subsection will be viewable via the link.
Then just use that link on the navigation menu like they do here. --------------- Added [DATE]1351647597[/DATE] at [TIME]1351647597[/TIME] --------------- Having strange issues with this, I'm trying to put a category into a already existing category but when I add a forum to that category its now showing up the way it should, I have added a test forums as you will see here there is two categories at the bottom, the one in the middle has a test forum and the other is the main category index. http://www.fpcforums.com/forums/f163/ |
