Recent CMS Content Widget showing content but not links
I want users to have to sign in to view the full articles, but I want them to be able to view the list of articles that are in a widget. When I set the permissions to where they can't view the articles then the links disappear.
http://canesinsight.com There should be links to the articles in the top right widget about the social icons. Thoughts? |

There is no widget above the widget for the social icons (viewable to non-registered users, that is).
If you want a widget that lists articles that non-registered users cannot see, I think you will need to custom code it. |

Those social icons are built into the same widget. When I log in the articles appear and when I log out they disappear. I am using the recent cms content widget.

Well, if it is a custom widget, then just change the code to show the links. We can't really help with a custom widget - you will need to post in the modification thread for help to do what you want. We don't know the code used, nor are you allowed to post it in this thread without explicit permission from the coder.

It is not a custom widget. I only modified the template of the widget to show the social icons at the bottom. I edited vbcms_widget_recentcontent_page, but havent touched anything else that would determine if the links show. I set the permissions so an user has to be logged in to read the full article and that is what made them disappear to unregistered users. The links should still be visible, just not the content the link contains once clicked.

Exactly what type of widget are you using and what is your configuration for it?
