Use mod twice

Just a quick question if someone could help me

Is it possible to use the exact same modification on the same database (site) ?

Would the mod need to have many edits or would it be simple enough ?
Obviously the more file the more edits

I really don't understand your question. A mod adds a certain functionality, and once it's added, it's there. Generally speaking, it makes no sense to add it twice.

Give us more concrete information (what addon? what functionality?), and an answer may be possible. As you notice yourselfe, it obviously depends on the addon.

The modification is question is not from vbulletin but a different source but obviously uses vbulletin coding as its on my site which is why i ask here

For instance lets say i wanted 3 chat boxes that are exactly the same
Would it be possible to have all 3 on the same site and database with some changes to the coding and if so would it be much changes ?

That's really not possible to answer without seeing the code. It depends on to many things.

Well, everything's possible somehow. You may have to basically recode the thing, but pretty much anything goes.
