''Activity Stream'' Ghost in the machine....errrrr
Please read fully before giving advice.
I have an activity stream on my forum homepage. This activity stream shows the ''staff lounge'' posts which all the members can see (this is not good). I would like to completely remove the activity stream, however, i cannot find it anywhere. I researched it online and I seem to be missing some key features in my admin CP. Under ''settings'', I do NOT have the ''navigation'' option. I also heard you can access it under ''settings>option>activity stream'', However, I dont have ''activity stream'' in my options menu????? What i think happend was, i DL'd a mod that over written those options or something. I tried disabling most of the add-ons and the activity stream is still there. So, i have a ghost in my machine and cannot get it out. Is there another way to find the activity stream options? or possibly a PHP file i can delete to get rid of this activity stream? thank you in advance for your time and help. |

@ socialteenz.....i explained above (if you read it) that i dont have a navigation menu and i did read that thread before asking this question
--------------- Added [DATE]1337867803[/DATE] at [TIME]1337867803[/TIME] --------------- okay guys....this thread can be locked....i found which add-on was causing the trouble. It was hidden inside VBfoster-missing features (lite). When i disabled the add-on, it did not disable the activity stream....i dont know why. However, when i completely removed the add-on, it did get rid of the forum activity stream. That was weird !!! |

About the issue that you are experiencing it looks like the permissions are not included in the Activity Stream. Hence those private forum 's threads&posts are shown up for everyone. You "d better start a ticket about this at your customer center. |

According to the screenshot your forum appears to be at 4.1.12 version and not 4.2.0.
Now, that activity stream on your forum homepage, is it added by a mod or did you upgrade? If the latter can you tell us how you upgraded your forum? P.s. Can you post the link to your forum as well? |

im not entirely sure. my forum is 4.1.11 patched to level 1.
i believe it was an add-on...but not certain. forum is ironjuggernauts.com but you need to register to see anything. name: pyes guest PW: 12345 i got rid of the forum activity stream which was there from ''vbfoster missing features'' add-on. I also have forum statistics which does the same thing...but i was able to go to that mod/add-on and edit the forum sections that updated the ''latest posts'' so that staff room posts would not show there. --------------- Added [DATE]1337875806[/DATE] at [TIME]1337875806[/TIME] --------------- i pretty much got it under control now.....however, if i will be needing that ''navigation'' option....then how can i get it? btw thanks for your time and help. |

Assuming that you mean the navigation manager, you must upgrade to 4.2.0. It is a built in function in that version. The Activity Streamer as well btw. And you are welcome. |
