vbulletin transfer to another host
hi evryone i need help from vb administrators i wanna transfer my vbulletin forum to another host an different domain name but i never done this and im new with vbulletin so im afraid to do it because i may break it up so if there is any admin who is willin to help me do this plz pm me i will send the infos thankyou so much

If you talk to your new host they should do it for you most of the good ones out there will

i emailed them 4 times to do this but they didnt do it but one of the admins who i know a bit he is doin this for me now thanks again this thread may be closed by admins |

This pretty easy to do. At a 50,000 foot view, here are the tasks
1) take the site offline so that no more logins are permitted 2) dump the database 3) tar the web root 4) untar web root on the new host 5) create new database, db user and import dump 6) change directory permissions 7) adjust forums/config.php for the new environment 8) login to the admincp and adjust..
