Hi,
I have two forums vBulletin 3.7.3 as main forum and Vb 4.1.3 for testing purpose. Of course both forum's have different database. Yesterday I planned a upgrade for the testing forum software from 4.1.3 to 4.1.6 but by mistake I set the wrong db in the config file. (the one for the main forum) the upgrade for 4.1.6 didn't complete and the the main forum is now useless I get only db error's. ![]() Is there a way to revert this? Unfortunately there is no (recent) back-up Every help is welcome. Regards, |

Your going to have a very hard time fixing it.
Can you get to the admincp and go to the optimization/repair then use mysql schema option at the bottom try repair the database. I recomend backing it up first incase that does worse and someone else finds a fix. You might also want to look at backing it up atleast once a week if not once a day! |

I see that all errors are from the test forum only, I fix this already by upgrade to the right DB.
The main forum DB does not create anything the screen stay blank. I cant go to the admincp after login the screen stay blank. The VBadvanced does load but when I follow a thread I get this; Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/functions_editor.php on line 93 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/functions_editor.php on line 93 I try to fix the main forum with upgrade but that didn't work either. Then I get this It is not possible to upgrade directly from vBulletin 2 to vBulletin versions 3.7.x and newer due to incompatabilities in data structures. If you are currently running vBulletin 2 and would like to upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin, please begin by downloading a version of vBulletin 3.6 from the vBulletin Members' Area. |

This may help - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=255104
But if you don't have a backup, there really isn't much you can do. Could you just bite the bullet and upgrade to 4.x fully? |

The latest backup I have is from 1 September - I can live with that.
Upgrading fully to 4.16 is a lot of work and I have far to little time to rebuild the lay-out and all the hacks. It was a good lesson for backing up every time. ![]() Thank you all for the fast respond. |
