vB CMS Wordpress Widget
So I have an established blog on wordpress that I would to like to keep using rather than moving my people to the vB blog. I want to display the 6 most recent posts from wordpress on my vb cms home page. My vb is in xxxxxxxx.com/forum and my wordpress is in xxxxxxxx.com/blog
I have tried two different ways, both creating a widget with the PHP Direct Execution type. Here are both that does not work for me so far. Code:
$output = <?php // Include WordPress define('WP_USE_THEMES', false); require('../blog/wp-load.php'); query_posts('showposts=1'); ?> <?php while (have_posts()): the_post(); ?> <?php endwhile; ?> <?php while (have_posts()): the_post(); ?>
<?php the_title(); ?>
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">Read more...
<?php endwhile; ?> I have even tried these instructions with heavy fail: http://www.jamischarles.com/blog/how...nal-html-page/ Has anyone been successful in this type of operation? --------------- Added [DATE]1312817368[/DATE] at [TIME]1312817368[/TIME] --------------- this below code works beautifully if I create a .php file and pull it directly from a browser, but if being pulled from within the vB CMS, it does absolutely nothing... any idea why? Code:
<?php // Include WordPress define('WP_USE_THEMES', false); require('../blog/wp-load.php'); query_posts('showposts=3'); ?> <?php while (have_posts()): the_post(); ?> <?php endwhile; ?> <?php while (have_posts()): the_post(); ?>
<?php the_title(); ?>
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">Read more...
<?php endwhile; ?> |
