ProTF2.com - Requesting feedback.
ProTF2 is a clan and a community built around Valve's popular game, Team Fortress 2.
Site: http://www.protf2.com Forums: http://www.protf2.com/forum.php Everything was done using vBadvanced including the donate, servers, bans, and members page. The gameME / rankings template was made from scratch. I'm feeling quite skeptical about the new post layout including the quotations: http://www.protf2.com/threads/925-Re...ll=1#post11257 The site was made without a care in the world for anyone using Internet Explorer. I'm aiming for a very clean, simple, non-bloated theme. Tell me what you guys think! Any ideas for a logo or new status icons would be appreciated. EDIT: Don't ask why the status icons are the ghosts from Pacman, even though it's a TF2 community :erm:. |

postbit layout reminds me on facepunch. Nothing bad about it.
However, the style is simple and minimalistic. I don't think it was a good decision for a gamer/server forum, especially with such an unique theme TF2 provides. It somehow has the feeling as if the designer was too lazy to come up with something awesome and put up a "simple" style instead. Nothing bad about simple themes, it just doesn't fit into gamer sites. Give it at least a dominant color, only greyish is too... meh. If you insist of using this simple style, at least remove some shades/gradients. Those make simple styles look cheap. @icons: Use TF2-ish icons. There is really much to pick of and even if it's "just" the tf2 logo, it will look better. Go through the achievement icons, i'm sure there is something which hasn't been used much yet. Main Problems: (tl;dr) - too simplistic (doesn't fit with gamer site) - greyish (ugh) - too many gradients/shades for simplistic theme - icons |
