ForoMail Mod, where is it?
I was subscribed to the ForMail Mod at this URL. When I try to visit it now I get the "you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:...". Has this Mod thread been removed for some reason?
Thanks! |

Unfortunately the author removed her modifications, we reviewed and there were no files to download .

Thanks TheLastSuperman, I asked a question about the Mod (which I have installed on my forum) in that thread and someone replied, but now I can't read their reply. Is it possible to put the thread where it can be viewed so members who have it installed can still support each other? Plus there was a lot of useful info in the thread, for anyone who already has the mod installed.

Thanks for that TheLastSuperman. The PMs were being sent out from my Admin account which was fine. The issue I had was with the number of them being sent out (two members reported each receiving over 70 of them) and the fact that they were being sent out to members with valid email addresses. Hence, I'm not sure that actually solves the problem, but I'm not very technical so I don't actually fully understand the solution.

Im afraid you will need to contact the author by some other method. They decided to remove them from here and make them commercial. Not the first time this particular author has removed everything.

I myself believe that remove all the free, and released version is not a good way in any case.
If you are going to make money from your mods, why don't you spend time to improve the current mods with customer's features request, new plugins, etc rather than remove all of the released one. - There are only 2 ways to understand it for members: - You cannot make any improvements for your current mods. They are going to paid for what they used to get free. - You are forcing them to buy your paid versions. It's better to let users decide, what's to chosse between the free and paid versions than forced them to buy the paid one. Forcing people is indeed not a good way to treat customers. ~Jeff |
