Noone Can Log Into The Forum - Including The Owners!
Everyone can view the site, but no one can log in, not even administrators. As of last night, I could log into Cpanel, but now the site doesn't even pull up. I'm contacting the hosting company regarding the site being down, but once it is up, noone can log in.
When trying to log onto the site, the most common error message is: ?[Thu Jun 16 23:15:45 2011] [error] [client 207.46.194.111] File does not exist: /home/streetc/public_html/robots.txt? This problem just surfaced and this problem has never been experienced in the past. The version of vBulletin currently being ran is 4.1.1 Suite and has been running fine since initial installation, which was months ago. The website is: http://www.streetcarforums.com. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated! |

Having no robots.txt file should not stop you from seeing your forum. If you are looking for the error that *you* are causing when you go to the forum, then look for your IP in the logs.
I cannot connect to your site at all. Quote:

The host is working on our server now to correct whatever the issue is. Just curious, what is the above charts showing/indicating? Thanks!

The site is back online now, but login errors still exist. This is the error I
am receiving: "Database error in vBulletin 4.1.1: Invalid SQL: SELECT text, languageid, special FROM phrase AS phrase LEFT JOIN phrasetype USING (fieldname) WHERE phrase.fieldname = 'frontredirect' AND varname = 'login' AND languageid IN (-1, 0, 1); MySQL Error : Incorrect information in file: './streetc_forums/phrasetype.frm' Error Number : 1033 Request Date : Sunday, June 26th 2011 @ 08:48:49 PM Error Date : Sunday, June 26th 2011 @ 08:48:49 PM Script : http://www.streetcarforums.com/login.php?do=login Referrer : http://www.streetcarforums.com/ IP Address : 71.80.84.6 Username : Roy Johnson, Jr. Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : 5.0.92-community" In an attempt to fix this issue, what might happen if I upgrade the version while the above problem exists? |

That is a database problem. Have you tried doing a repair/optimize on your database?

No I have not; I do not know how to perform that operation.
--------------- Added [DATE]1309141664[/DATE] at [TIME]1309141664[/TIME] --------------- I found how to perform maintenance/optimization in the online vbulletin manual. The problem is I can not log in to access admincp! How can I optimize the tables otherwise? Is there a way to do it through cpanel? |

Did your host not tell you how to access your database via some other method like cPanel, or phpMyAdmin, or ....?

I went into phpmyadmin, but I am unsure of what to do in there and do not want to further complicate the site's current issue. If I upgrade the vBulletin software, will this fix the database issue or cause more problems if the current issue isn't fixed first? I really appreciate your help!

Send a ticket into your host with the error. They may be able to fix it for you.
