Show Thread Enhancements - Custom Signature Separator

Lets get it started

WHAT DOES THIS DO?

It will help you to replace the default signature ___________ with your custom image.

Let's get it started.


Step1:

Go into your Admin CP->>>>Your Style>>>Stylevars

Search for signature_border & it should look something like this after removing the color & style.


Step2:

Style Manager>>>Your Style>>>Edit Templates>>>Postbit Templates >>>postbit_legacy

Find:

{vb:raw ad_location.ad_showthread_firstpost_sig}

Before that add this:

<img alt="" src="Your Image URL here"> {vb:raw template_hook.postbit_signature_start}

You are done with it xD

I can't get this one to work with 4.1.8
I've tried the changes in postbit_legacy, and postbit... i've also tried using the full image url.
No combination gets the image to show.

Any thoughts?

You could try ~
In your postbit.css search for this

.signature {
        padding-top: 1em;
	border-top: {vb:stylevar signature_border};
        margin-top: 2em;
}

and change

border-top: {vb:stylevar signature_border};

to

background: url("your image src") no-repeat top;

Of course if you never have a signature it will never show!

Thanks Robbie, that has it showing (centered)... I wanted it aligned to the left, so used the following;

/*signature */
.signature {
        padding-top: 1em;
	/* border-top: {vb:stylevar signature_border}; */
        background: url("/forums/images/misc/looker-line.gif") no-repeat top {vb:stylevar left};
        margin-top: 2em;
}
