thread delete when usergroup changes?
Hey there,
I am trying to figure out if there a mod for what i am trying to do. Here is what i am trying to accomplish. Basically i have a fish aquarium forum. I have a subforum called "breeder" and i have a subscription called breeder. Basically ONLY breeder usergroup paid subscriptions are able to start threads in the "breeder" subforum. Lets say that the member has a 30 day subscription to post threads in that forum, after the 30 days subscription if he does not renew his usergroup goes back to regular. Is there a way for the system to automatically delete or move his threads in the breeder forum once his usergroup changes back to regular registered. |

I don't see a mod like that, but there's a paidsub_delete hook that might be used as the place to do the moves. I noticed that there's an "auto move threads on ratings" mod that searches for threads and moves them, so you might be able to get ideas from that. (It also works as a scheduled task, which is another possibility for the mod you want).
You could delete the threads instead of moving them of course, I guess it depends on whether or not you ever want them back. You could un-delete threads (like if a user resubscribes), but then you won't know the difference between threads that were deleted because the sub expired, or for some other reason. |
