Getting Frustrated with GChat
I really don't want to complain or put Gchat down. I also realize that I am new at this and there are a lot of things I don't know.
However, when I purchased the Visichat; I was under the impression they would install and integrate it into my forum on my site: www.truchristianchat.net. They said it was installed, but when I wanted to know if they were going to integrate it, they charged me $20 for a reinstallation fee. Saying they had to reinstall it in order to integrate it. Now, it's supposed to be installed and integrated, but I can't get into the chat room. I thought that once it was integrated; the members on my site would only have to log into the message forums and just click on the link for the chat room. I read the instructions about integration on this site, but it all seems like Greek to me. I gave my username & passwords to them so they could check it out a couple of hours ago. I am concerned they will say that everything is now fine and I will have the same problem I have now. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. |

Have you checked that the chat system maybe needs the user permissions setting up so people can view and use it mate?

Since the time of this posting I have gotten in touch with my hosting company, Host Gator, and found out that port 1935 needed to be open both in and out. That was done.
Now I can access the chat room, but still need to log in twice. Once for the message forum and again for the chat room. I sent an e mail to GChat about this a moment ago. I'll wait and see what they have to say. |

Hello again. It took some time, but my hosting company helped me get things set up so that my chat room is working. I'm not sure what they did, but every thing is all right now.
I thought I should let you know. Thank you all for your patience with this newbie |

Is there any way I can log in visichat 2.5.8 as invisible?
I am having many complaints about some of the members, but if I enter as the site administrator the atmosphere in the room changes. Another thing I would like to know is how to change identities so that my family can log in under their own nics. We only have 1 computer in my home. thank you, Whiteknite |

yes this is very simple ask to admin for make another id for u if he did not enable 1IP 1ID option . other wise u can create ids by registering new ids using register.php
and if u are a simple user u can login as invisible but u can not see room list and text messages and also u can not hear to any one on mic but u can send messages to main aor if there is anybody in ur buddy list u can send PMs to them . |
