Altering the color of threads

^ That's the link to a thread in our forum. What I want to alter is the color of the thread. The part where the text sits on. Not the thread link, I wanna change the color of threads from black to something else. How do I do this?

That's alt1. Go to your Style Manager > find Style > Main CSS > First Alternating Color.

Ok, my fault for not being more clear. I want to do this without...changing the color of the index page. If ala tinker with alt1, it also changes the color of the index page.

But, you'll have to write some custom CSS for that or modify the template to add your own background color.

Ok. So which one of my thread templates would be the correct one to go to in order to specifically edit only the background-color of a thread?

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)

If I recall, you were using the postbit_legacy template.
