Hi there
I've searched for the solution to this across the various VB resources, and am beginning to think that it's not possible, but figured I'd ask the experts on here, just in case. Basically, we have two main sets of users, one set French speaking and the other English speaking. I've installed a French language pack, which works pretty well, but I'd like new users to be able to choose their preferred language during registration, rather than having to try and direct them, in English, to the User Options part of the Control Panel after regsitration is finished. I've found where to add a customer profile field and make that required on regsitration, but can't find anywhere that lets you determine which of the standard user preferences are shown on the regsitration page. Is this possilble at all? I'm using version 3.7.2 PL1. Thanks in advance Stuart |

I don't know how to do it on registration but if you made a "home" or "welcome" page you could have users click on a link or graphic to select the language... for English (the default language I'd assume) you'd make the link to http://yourdomain.com/forums/?langid=1 and a link to the other language like: http://yourdomain.com/forums/?langid=2 - where 1/2 are the language ID's of yorr various languages. This will set people to English or French before they even get to your forum.
