Default Anyone here using RBS Worldpay? Happy with them?

I really need to ditch Paypal, they are absolutely useless. Can you imagine? A company stating they will freeze your account if you do not provide them information... so you provide them the information... 5 days passes... no response... you phone and are put in support loops always resulting in a dead line. My account is literally going to be frozen and I can't so much as get hold of them to ask why or how to resolve the situation. Not only that but a substantial amount of funds go through that account yet they could care less, it's like no one is home. Anyway, I am willing to go with Worldpay in spite of the added expense just to have some decent support and never deal with paypal again. I haven't heard of many here using it or how well it integrates into vbull. Thanks for any info...

I've been using Worldpay for many years. The functionality is good, it's easy to integrate in general. It's still possible to have problems with them if you're the victim of fraudulent transactions - I once had them sit on my funds for a while because I had two fraudsters inside 6 months. But that's only once in some ten years of usage.

Misc disadvantages of WP you should know about...
- costs more
- charges for refunds
- takes a month to release your funds to your account

The pluses for me are a) the 'insurance' in case Paypal ever freezes my account and b) it protects me against the misapprehension people still have that they can't pay with Paypal unless they have an account there.

I've just been looking into Vbulletin integration (wondering if I can take Amember out of the picture, which currently manages paying membership for me), and found this in the Vbulletin docs:
Quote:
Note:
WorldPay does NOT support recurring payments.
Not remotely true: Worldpay does support recurring payments, and has done for at least a decade. But if what they're trying to say is Vbulletin doesn't integrate with Worldpay's Futurepay feature and they don't plan to do so, that would be a big nuisance. I've asked them.

Edited to add:
Hm, that quote is from Vb 4 documentation. My current installation of Vb is 3.8, and it says that Worldpay does support recurring subscriptions. So either Vb have removed that functionality for version 4, or their support docs are wrong. Seems more likely that the support docs are wrong, doesn't it? Fingers crossed.
