Need help - how do I change forum icons

Hi - I'm sooo new at this vbulletin forum stuff - I run a graphics forum, so of course I want to be able to jazz up our site. I have installed new style sheets but they all have the same standard icons for old posts, new posts, etc.

I want to change them up but don't know what to do?

Can anyone guide me? I'd be so grateful!

Rename your images forum_old-48.png (for old posts) and forum_new-48.png (for the new posts) and then upload them inside the /statusicon/ folder in the /images/ directory overwritting them. Hope it helps.

Another question though - if I have several style sheets (blue / green / etc). I want them to each have their own set of icons -- can that be done where I can edit just the icons on one style sheet instead of doing one blanket change for every style in the forum?

You will have to make the edits separately for each theme.

see that is where I get lost - how do I do that? I'm soooo stupidly new at this -- I don't know where to go to find the info I need to update/change.

ftp into server files > root> images>styles> your style- upload your images, you'll have to repeat for each style you have
