upgrade from 4.04 to 4.05
I am suffering from the missing cms button issue so I guess I need to go to 4.05. I have a lot of mods including manual code edits to the header template, navbar, footer, chrome, etc. custom images, etc, etc. I don't want to have redo all my manual code edits. Can I copy just the changed files from 4.05 plus upgrade.php and copy that to my existing forum directory and run the upgrade?
This is the list of changed files I got : * group.php * includes/class_facebook.php * includes/functions_forumdisplay.php * includes/vbulletin_credits.php * includes/class_bbcode.php * includes/class_datastore.php * includes/functions_calendar.php * includes/block/cmsarticles.php * includes/functions_search.php * includes/adminfunctions_template.php * includes/class_core.php * includes/class_postbit.php * includes/xml/product-vbcms.xml * includes/xml/product-vbblog.xml * includes/xml/style_generator_sample_light.xml * includes/xml/style_generator_sample_white.xml * includes/facebook/facebook.php * editor.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recentcmscomments.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recentblogcomments.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recentthreads.php * packages/vbcms/widget/myfriends.php * packages/vbcms/widget/tagcloud.php * packages/vbcms/widget/searchwidget.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recentposts.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recent.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recentblog.php * packages/vbcms/widget/recentarticle.php * packages/vbcms/controller/list.php * packages/vbcms/contentmanager.php * packages/vbcms/item/widget/tagcloud.php * packages/vbcms/item/content/phpeval.php * packages/vbcms/item/content/article.php * packages/vbcms/dm/node.php * packages/vbcms/permissions.php * packages/vbcms/widget.php * packages/vbcms/content/phpeval.php * packages/vbcms/content/article.php * packages/vbcms/content/section.php * packages/vbcms/content/staticpage.php * packages/vbcms/comments.php * moderation.php * usercp.php * install/vbulletin-settings.xml * install/vbulletin-adminhelp.xml * install/vbulletin-style.xml * install/upgrade_language_en.php * install/upgradeX.php * install/installsteps.php * install/cmsdefaultdata/default_data_queries.php * install/upgrademain.php * install/vbulletin-language.xml * install/upgrade_404.php * install/upgrade_405.php * store_sitemap * member.php * images/cms/tag.png * subscription.php * admincp/template.php * admincp/sitemap.php * admincp/cms_content_admin.php * admincp/stylevar.php * archive/global.php * archive/index.php * clientscript/jquery/jquery.tooltip.js * clientscript/vbulletin_overlay.js * clientscript/vbulletin_ajax_suggest.js * clientscript/vbulletin-core.js thanks |

Those changes really shouldn't make a difference with this upgrade. I just upgraded my dev board and none of my themes had any changes in them.

I was thinking about the same thing as I also have a bit of edits to consider.. I tend to grab my shotgun on the days I do an upgrade just incase something goes wrong. lol

upgrade_405.php. I didn't rename this file and just ran the upgrade by going to mysite/install/upgrade.php. Not sure if I did this correctly. |
