Redundant StyleVars

Hi,

I'm going thru trying to figure out which StyleVars and options are actually active in V4.0.3 as I have noticed that quite a few StyleVars/Options do not appear to actually anything in the appearance of the resulting page (Yes, I've also gone thru this.... and I have the StyleVar Definition PDF. There are StyleVars defined in the "Default" Style, that are not in the above mentioned PDF ???? Does anyone have a definitive reference guide on which of the StyleVars (currently defined in the "Default" style), actually are used ?????

For example: I can change the "NavBar.navbar_background" StyleVar, but, nothing in the NavBar actually changes.... Or I can change the "Background Image" option of the "Header.header_background" StyleVar and nothing appears to change, but, if I change the "Background Color" option of the same StyleVar ("Header.header_background" StyleVar), then the colour of the righthand side of the header does change.....

I'm just looking for something which tells me accurately, which of the StyleVars and Options in V4.0.3, actually work and impact some part of the forum..... Does anything like that exist ???

Hmm ... every stylevar actually should work.
If it does not you should report this as a bug.

I'm sorry, but, I'm quite new to vBulletin and I'm trying to learn as much as possible in a very short period of time and I do appreciate any and all help. I am unfamiliar with raising bug reports with vBulletin corporation and do not think that I should have to document every discrepency that I find. I do believe that there should be some definitive documentation about their product instead of just a bunch of airy fairy Crap !!!!!! I am a developer. True, I am new to PHP, but, definitive documentation and clean code should be an expected given....... Not on some wish list......

I have noted very many discrepencies between the "StyleVars Definition" pdf and what I'm finding in the "default" Style (upon installing vBulletin for the very first time)... There are StyleVars (as well as options) in the Default style that are not defined in the documentation and I just want to know "what it is" that I'm working with instead of just punching around in a dark room with no windows and the lights off as I have been doing for the past 3 weeks.

Clear and concise documentation is all I'm asking for.. Something that I can actually work from and not just guess about......

Does anyone know what StyleVars have been deprecated ????? I'm sortof beginning to resigning myself to the fact that I will need to continue punching around in a room with no doors, no windows, no light and at night.....
