Registration email notifications not coming through?
I am running my new vb board around the block before opening it up. I have the settings to require that new users activate via an email link, and then be moderated before joining. The initial email that there is a new user are taking close to half an hour to arrive, to a gmail address, and there are no emails after activation to moderate.
Should I be getting two emails? Is there a way to speed up their arrival? How do I trouble-shoot this? I tried searching for the same issue, but couldn't find ... I'm fine with links explaining. thanks, Erin Cox-Holmes |

Moderation isn't necessary. Just use a simple q&a (don't use captcha). 30 minutes does seem long, but may be a server issue. When you send test emails from AdminCP>Maintenance>Diagnostics does it take that long?

If it just started happening and you didn't change anything, contact your host.
Note though, in future you may not want to post in very old threads like this. |
