How to call varibles from custom.php in plugin?
How can I call variables from my custom.php page in my plugin?
For example, I'm using Lynne's [HOW TO - vB4] Create a New Tab in the navbar and I'm trying to change the following:
Link 1
I'd like "Link 1" to be the name of whatever the first column is from my custom.php page. Basically, I want the code to be:
columns['title1']
I tried using: include "custom.php";, but that didn't seem to help. I keep getting an error whenever I try to use columns['title1']. Any help would be appreciated. If you can even point me to a post that could help me, that would be great. --------------- Added [DATE]1266640058[/DATE] at [TIME]1266640058[/TIME] --------------- Well, I'm certainly determined. I spent 6 hours on this today and zero luck. I can't find anything in the forums on how to do this. I've tried so many things I think I'm starting to repeat myself. Anyhow, I didn't see anyway of accomplishing this with Lynne's navbar, so I tried ragtek's instead. Since his uses a template, I figured I could get the variables to load up in the template if they get called in my custom.php. Well, I haven't had luck yet. Course, now I have a couple more idea's. Back to testing. |
